ClearVoice Talent Search Experience

The admin platform serves as a tool for ClearVoice staff to oversee freelancers and client production on the public platform. I assumed a leadership position in this initiative, effectively reducing talent search production time from over 5 days to just 2.

From redesign to building something new

Initially a redesign project, I saw a chance to boost user productivity by investigating their needs. Through comprehensive research and interviews with coworkers, I gained insights that led to a compelling presentation convincing the team to go beyond mere redesign. Impressed, they assigned me leadership of the project and become a huge impact for our users and our company.

Chaotic workflow, countless apps, and 5 long days of searching.

It would take 5+ days for our talent team to locate 1 freelance writer and 1 producer to work on 1 assignment. This backed up production which also pushed due dates that clients have already set up.

Reason for this are the following:

  • Hard to know if freelancer is available. Part of the job is communication and knowing what the freelancers current workload was.
  • The talent team has to manage and update 3 other platforms to know if someone is up to hiring for a job.
  • Currently freelancers information is in different locations of the platform, which means more hoping around.

Conducted A / B testing

Given a leadership role, I engaged my design leader in crafting UI designs, while the engineering team commenced work on established comps.

Simultaneously, I conducted A/B testing on the side modal and table view to assess optimal information placement and users' comprehension of certain designs, evaluating the potential learning curve.

Results were amazing!

Ultimately, we successfully wrapped up the project within the revised deadline set by our Project Manager. Following the launch, there were only two columns requiring updates; nevertheless, we managed to significantly reduce the talent team's search production time from 5 days to just 2.

This endeavor also led to time savings for our team on upcoming projects slated for the next quarter. Opting solely for a redesign would have resulted in either discarding or creating additional tools that wouldn't have proven valuable in the long run.
